I subscribe to your chemical service but I’m not sure how to properly clean my cartridge filter. Can you show me how?

Yes, we can provide instruction to you on how to clean your filter. Better yet, we can provide that service for you. Cartridge filters are under pressure but are dangerous if they are under pressure when opened. It is best to leave this part of your pool servicing to the professionals. If not, be sure to read the manufacturer’s owner’s manual before attempting this yourself.
 

Your Premium service offers a free floating chlorinator, but are there any monthly costs that go with this?

It is important for chlorine to be present in your pool at all times. It is also just as important that the tabs be placed in either a floater or chlorinator. If you do not already have one, we will provide one for free as we care about your pool. We do not like to see the chlorine tabs put into the skimmer as it can be harmful to your pool equipment.

What’s included in your full-service cleaning?

Our full-service cleaning is our Premium service. We have a total of 3 service plans which are on this website under the “Service Plans” tab on the header.
 

Is there a less expensive option to you Premium service?

The less expensive option would be the Basic Plan. This service takes care of the three mandatory cleaning issues to keep your pool swim safe. Most of our clientele who already own an automatic pool cleaner choose our Basic Plan, but still have to perform service to their pools themselves. Life’s A Beach Pool Service gives many service options, listed on this website under the “Service Plans” tab on the header.
 

What’s your most popular service plan?

To date, the Basic Plan has been the most popular, even though it’s not a complete service. The complete, hands-off, service plan would be our Premium Plan.
 

My electric bill for my pool is very high. Can you do anything to help me lower my bill?

What does this new California Energy Efficiency law mean for my pool?

The simple explanation for this code is: All residential pool pump motors on the circulatory system (attached to your filter) that are greater than ¾ HP will need to be changed to variable or 2-speed motors when they need to be replaced. There are exceptions for motors still under manufacturer’s warranty, but all others must be upgraded when replaced. These new variable-speed motors are a huge technological improvement over old inertia drive motors. They will save you money and we guarantee the same. The weather is beautiful but my pool is too cold? What’s the best way to heat my pool and/or spa?

The best response is to have a heat pump installed for the pool, and if you have a gas line, gas heat for a spa. A heat pump is designed specifically to take advantage of the warm air of California giving us an extended and early swim season. Heat pumps are more dependable and efficient than ever and can even heat your pool during the summer. If you need to swim daily for therapy or state of mind, a heat pump with a gas heater as a back-up is the way to go. It is usually very expensive to heat a pool except on rare occasions, solar heat could be the best for your pool depending upon your house’s roof positioning, trees, and amount of cloud cover.
 

Using my spa is great but I never remember which valves to turn for its operation. Is there an app for that?

The answer to the question is that there is an app for this, but the best answer is automation. An Automated system that uses buttons and operates all the functions of their pool and spa for a keypad turns all the valve turning and guessing of which valve to turn, to one touch simplicity. If you need all the bells and whistles, we do have an app that’ll help. You can even run your whole house from any internet capable device with the top of the line automation systems.
 

Do you perform pool and spa equipment repair?

Yes! We service all makes and models of pool equipment, residentially and commercially.
 

Will you service my pool on the same day each week?

Yes! We schedule our service on a consistent basis to maintain your swimming pool. Exceptions are weeks with a holiday or when severe weather may arise. We strive to communicate any delays or changes as needed, whenever possible.
 

May I change the day of the week normally scheduled for my service to a new day or change the technician assigned to our service if I wish?

Yes! We strive to accommodate our clientele in any way possible.
 

Do you repair pool vacuums? If so, which brands?
